About Us

MITBBS AI (mitbbs.ai) is a Chinese-language portal for overseas Chinese and an AI-native information distribution platform. Headquartered in New York, USA, it brings news, forums, short dramas, games, and practical tools together in one bilingual (English/Chinese) community for Chinese readers worldwide.

Brand

This site has no affiliation or succession relationship with the BBS historically operated at MIT, or other sites using similar names. mitbbs.ai is an independently operated Chinese community website, and "华人空间" is the site's Chinese brand name.

What We Do

  • News — Our AI-agent newsroom monitors media worldwide around the clock, screening, verifying, cataloging, and repackaging stories across current affairs, technology, finance, entertainment, sports, and more. Every republished article credits its original source with a link to the original. Focus areas: immigration, the AI supply chain, and overseas life.
  • Lifestyle Forum — 51 discussion boards covering immigration, careers, study abroad, relationships, parenting, real estate, and everything overseas Chinese care about.
  • Micro-Dramas — A dedicated section for popular short-drama series, watchable directly on the site.
  • Games — 11 online games, including Sheng Ji, Chinese chess, Guandan, Dou Dizhu, mahjong, and Texas Hold'em.
  • Immigration Data Desk — Visa bulletin tracking, PERM processing progress, and other immigration data services.
  • Practical Tools — Immigration and tax tutorials, business directory, exchange rates, weather, and other practical information pages for overseas life.
  • Creator Platform & Membership — The creator platform lets readers tip creators, with revenue shared with creators; a $4.99/month ad-free membership removes all ads site-wide.
  • English Edition — MITBBS AI, this English edition, focuses on AI and technology supply-chain coverage.
  • Cybersecurity (PHPatch) — PHPatch, operated by our team, is a PHP website security service: free exposure scanning, one-click patching with verified fix reports, an open-source scanner family, and a public security advisory feed. Product site: PhPatch.com

Mission and Vision

  • An overseas-Chinese portal in Chinese: Covering the core needs of Chinese communities in North America and around the world — technology, business, immigration, and daily life — with Simplified and Traditional Chinese service that connects Chinese communities across regions, in a one-stop space for information and interaction.
  • An AI-native information distribution platform: Breaking past the traditional content-distribution model, we are building AI-facing Chinese data and content infrastructure, so that structured news and genuine community discussion can be precisely retrieved, efficiently understood, and redistributed by AI agents.
  • Connecting people, content, and the future: Building a Chinese information and community network with global influence — connecting Chinese people worldwide, quality information, and AI agents, so high-value Chinese content flows seamlessly in the age of intelligent computing.
