What this means for you
Nytex Composites' revenue growth targets may affect Chinese readers working in semiconductor manufacturing or materials supply chains in the US, as the company supplies specialty plastic compounds for advanced chip components including EUV photomask pods and wafer carriers. The company's expansion in high-end applications, aiming for 35 percent of revenue from premium products next year, could signal increased demand for related technical roles. Readers invested in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co may see indirect impacts from the partnership between Nytex and Gudeng Precision Industrial. The projection of total revenue reaching NT$2.9 billion this year and the goal of high-end applications reaching 35 percent of revenue next year reflect the company's growth trajectory in the semiconductor supply chain.
Nytex Composites targets 10-15% growth next year

Nytex Composites Co (耐特科技), which makes specialty plastic compounds used in advanced chip manufacturing, yesterday said it is targeting 10 to 15 percent annual revenue growth next year, driven by robust demand from semiconductor carriers and artificial intelligence (AI) server backup battery units.

The outlook followed robust sales momentum this year, with revenue expanding 17.7 percent year-on-year to NT$2.14 billion (US$65.86 million) in the first nine months.

The company’s previous three-year road map projected double-digit percentage growth by 2028.

For this year as a whole, the company projected total revenue to reach NT$2.9 billion.

“Next year, we have a chance to hit the target set during our debut on the Emerging Stock Market last year,” Nytex president Henry Chen (陳宇涵) told a news conference, referring to the goal of high-end applications accounting for 35 percent of revenue.

Nytex remains optimistic about its revenue prospects as the nation’s leading foundries and chip packaging providers prepare to significantly expand capacity over the next two to three years, he said.

The higher the wafer output, the greater the consumption of wafer carriers, Chen said.

Driven by robust demand for premium specialty plastic compounds used in semiconductor components, the company expects high-end products to contribute approximately 35 percent to total revenue next year, up from an estimated 30 percent this year and a significant leap from 3.59 percent in 2023.

Nytex supplies specialty plastic compounds used in semiconductor carriers, including extreme ultraviolet photomask pods that are used in manufacturing 3-nanometer chips, box-like front-opening unified pods, wafer cassettes and square-panel carriers for next-generation panel-level packaging technology.

The company started supplying a small amount of plastic compounds used in IC trays last year, offering a new growth engine for Nytex, Chen said.

The trays are used to handle chips during advanced packaging, including chip-on-wafer-on-substrate processes.

Nytex, established in 1988, began a semiconductor-materials partnership in 2019 with Gudeng Precision Industrial Co (家登精密), which supplies extreme ultraviolet pods to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (台積電) for advanced chip manufacturing.

Nytex is set to list its shares on the main board of the Taiwan Stock Exchange by the end of next month, with the offering price tentatively set at NT$88 each.

Net profit almost doubled to NT$127 million during the first six months of this year from NT$63.74 million in the same period last year. That translated into earnings per share of NT$1.85 in the first half of this year, approaching last year’s earnings per share of NT$1.95.
