What this means for you
For Chinese readers in the US, this forecast is mainly relevant to family life for those with relatives in Taiwan: northern and eastern Taiwan may see localized showers, and northern Taiwan plus Yilan and Hualien counties could be slightly cooler on Friday. The article also says cooler weather is expected to return to northern Taiwan beginning next week through Tuesday. Typhoon In-fa’s path and potential impact on Taiwan remain uncertain, so the report does not establish a direct impact on readers in the US. Readers with family in Taiwan can use the forecast as expected weather information rather than a confirmed disruption.

Taipei, Oct. 30 (CNA) Taiwan can expect mostly stable weather over the weekend, though parts of northern and eastern Taiwan will see localized showers, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
Seasonal northeasterly winds are expected to strengthen slightly later Friday, bringing scattered showers to Taiwan's northern coast, eastern Taiwan and the Hengchun Peninsula in the south, the CWA said.
The seasonal wind system is expected to weaken Saturday, though rain remains a possibility in parts of northern and eastern Taiwan.
Most of Taiwan will see cloudy to sunny skies on Sunday, with only isolated showers expected in eastern Taiwan and the Hengchun Peninsula, it said.
Temperature-wise, the agency said northern Taiwan, and Yilan and Hualien counties in the east could see slightly cooler weather on Friday, with highs of 25-27 degrees Celsius, while highs of 28-30 degrees can be expected elsewhere.
Independent meteorologist Wu Der-rong (吳德榮) said temperatures will rise by a few degrees Sunday, with a wide day-night temperature gap and occasional localized showers possible in eastern Taiwan.
Cooler weather is expected to return to northern Taiwan beginning next week through Tuesday as another seasonal wind system moves south over the island, before weakening again Wednesday and Thursday, Wu said.
Regarding Typhoon In-fa, Wu said the storm, which is currently northeast of Guam, is expected to slow and change direction before resuming a westward track early next week.
Typhoon In-fa's path and potential impact on Taiwan remain uncertain, Wu said.
