If you have watched an MITBBS video briefing, you have already met them. Andy and Emily are the two anchor hosts of our video newsroom — the faces of the daily briefings, the topic deep-dives and the Shorts on our videos page and our YouTube channel.
Andy works the knowledge desk: the warm-amber side of the studio, where the explainers live — how the H-1B lottery actually works, what a Federal Reserve decision means for a mortgage, why a chip export rule matters. When a story needs background and patience, it goes to Andy.
Emily runs tech: the teal side of the studio, all velocity — AI launches, NVIDIA and the chip race, new gadgets, platform fights. When a story is moving fast and the details are technical, it goes to Emily.
Together they also read the news. Every article on MITBBS carries a two-host listening version voiced by Andy and Emily — in American English on the English edition, and in Chinese on the Chinese edition — so you can hear the whole front page on a drive. On camera, they alternate the daily anchor show; in the studio style we adopted this month, look for the deep-navy twilight set, the floating islands, and the cream titles.
A few house rules for their show: no burned-in subtitles (YouTube's own caption button does that job better), a SnipeWise tip at the end of every video, and a link back to mitbbs.ai in every description, because the videos exist to bring readers home to the full stories.
New briefings land every day. Watch them at mitbbs.ai/en/videos, subscribe on YouTube, and tell us in the comments which desk — knowledge or tech — you would give the next big story to.
